Beschrijving: FINNIGAN MAT 95 MASS SPECTROMETER. The MAT95 is a double focussing magnetic sector instrument with a mass range up to 3500 amu at full acceleration voltage. Standard ion source is 70 eV EI. CI and FAB sources are available and can also be mounted. Inlet systems: Varian 3400 GC (split/splitless) and equipped with a Chrompack Thermodesorption Cold trapping unit (e.g. for Tenax headspace tubes) and a liquid cooled rapid heating direct insertion probe. The mass spectrometer is equipped with 2 computers, one for MS control, data acquisition and evaluation, the other has direct access to the first computer for data evaluation.
The above system was purchased new by our department in 1994 and has been in use ever since. It is used for research purposes several days a week for a variety of samples, and interested parties are welcome to inspect the system or even run their own sample on it. The system has been maintained by the specialized German firm MasCom (Bremen) and is in excellent condition: stable, nominal mass calibration holds for many months and mass accuracy in high resolution peak matching mode (computer controlled) is typically 2 ppm. The reason for selling is the retirement of the operator and change of research focus.
The data systems consists of 2 Compaq 500au UNIX workstations, running Finnigan’s ICL (instrumental control) and ICIS (data evaluation) software. NIST98 and Wiley 7th ed Mass Spectral Databases are included.
Dismantling, packing, shipping, re-installing and insurance costs are for the buyer. We advise the assistance of MasCom. As we are a university and not a company, we cannot give any guarantees after shut-down. We do guarantee that all components are currently working fine and are used in our research this very moment, i.e. the equipment is in excellent shape.
Price for the complete EI-MS system incl. the CI and FAB sources, GC, thermodesorption unit, 2 computers, 2 monitors, printer, spare parts, software, manuals and drawings excl. dismantling, transport and reinstalling. Dismantling and shipment after June 30th, 2009 as the system for sale is still in use until then.
