The condition of all systems is excellent.
(The lid of system 3 was adjusted to fit a BRT / Biomek workstation).
State of systems: one actively used; all 4 machines will be brought adequately in a ‘Safe’ modus for storage by Beckman-Coulter in April 2010.
All systems were maintained by a full-service contract until December 2009.
Laser usage: about 650 hours (Quanta 2, 3 and 4), 3500 hours (Quanta 1).

DESCRIPTION:
Cell Lab Quanta SC is a flow cytometry system that simultaneously measures electronic volume, side scatter and three fluorescent colours. The flow cytometer has multiple excitation wavelengths, including 488 nm laser and a UV light source optimized for excitation at 366, 405 and 435 nm. Together with interchangeable filters, the Quanta SC allows flexible fluorochrome selection for a variety of multicolour applications. Side scatter and Coulter volume make size analysis and fluorescent measurements very precise. The Cell Lab Quanta SC systems come with the Multi-Platform Loader (MPL), which enables microtitre plate and micro tube based analysis. With the MPL and AutoSetup capability, you can use sample cups, micro centrifuge tubes and 24-, 96- or 384-well plates on the same system. Side cup holder contains sample or reagent. Probe wash is automatic and the automatic sample preparation, including incubation, saves time and eliminates human errors. The machines are delivered with software that offers incremental parameter controls for precise data collection and analysis. The systems are also delivered with extra large waste containers to allow high plate throughput. Optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliance software is available from Beckman Coulter.

The FastPrep System combines two products into one: A multi-tube homogenizer and a molecular isolation kit. Samples are homogenized and isolated in individual micro tubes eliminating the use of metal probes and shearing blades and their associated contamination and cleaning problems.

* OligoPrep Concentrator

This instrument automatically performs the cleavage, final deprotection, and concentration of synthetic oligonucleotides from solid supports and columns. Sample assemblies remain fully closed during the cleavage and 55C deprotect/ incubation steps. Each sample is completely isolated and free from cross contamination.
